The Dordt Defender men's golf team lost a 3-2 decision in the championship at Briar Cliff's match play event on Tuesday, March 31. Dordt got to the championship with a pair of wins on Monday and faced Northwestern on Tuesday morning.

• David Chacon won three up with two to go. Chacon rallied from a two hole deficit after five holes and tied it at the turn and took control by wining three out of four holes from hole 11-14.
• Joseph Wolfe lost down six with five to go.  Wolfe's opponent was steady with seven pars and a birdie on holes 2-9.
• Trey Van Groningen lost five down with three to go. Van Groningen was tied with Evan Smith through nine holes before Smith took four holes in a row on 10-13 with a string of pars.
• Samuel Wolfe lost in a playoff. Wolfe lost the fourth hole on a bogey and parred the next hole while Qwenton Caldwell had a birdie to go up two. Wolfe followed with steady play, getting a par to get within one and the two golfers halved the next six holes. A par on the 12^th tied it for Wolfe and he led with a par on 16 but a bogey on the 18^th tied the match and went to a playoff. Wolfe bogeyed the par four playoff hole while Caldwell shot par.
• Caleb Douma won one up at the end of 18 holes. Douma went up early by taking the first three holes and but Axton Miller rallied to tie it after nine. Douma than parred six in a row to hold a on hole lead. A bogey on the 16^th tied the match but Douma answered with his 19^th par to get a hole lead and both golfers parred the final hole.

Dordt's next action will be at the Bethany College Classic on Monday, April 6 and Tuesday, April 7 as part of a 54 hole event.
