(Friday, March 6; Sioux Center, Iowa) Dordt's Pedro Brandao (Junior; Rio De Janeiro, Brazil) has concluded his first day of competition at the NAIA National Championship Meet in Elkhart, Indiana.

Brandao swam a personal best 56.46 in the 100 breaststroke and finished 20^th in the prelims of the event.  The B Cut was 56.12 and the A Cut was 55.14. The best time out of the finals was 52.76.

Brandao will compete in the 200 breaststroke on Saturday, March 7 in the prelims of the event.
