(Monday, June 29; Sioux Center, Iowa) The 2025-26 Academic All-District Women's Cross Country/Track & Field Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and the classroom. Six Dordt athletes earned the honor.

Shelby Buwalda (Senior; Waupun, Wisconsin),
Corinne Braun (Sophomore; Canton, South Dakota),
Addy Crow (Sophomore; Rochester, Minnesota),
Fran Travis (Sophomore; Spirit Lake, Iowa),
Ayda Den Herder (Senior; Sioux Center, Iowa), and
Makenna Walhof (Junior; Sioux Center, Iowa) were all named to the CSC Academic All-District Team.
Buwalda earned all-GPAC honors in five track & field events during the indoor and outdoor seasons and was a member of three NAIA All-America relay teams (two indoor and one outdoor). She graduated with 19 all-GPAC honors and 12 All-America honors. She maintained a 3.88 grade point average while studying biology, and this is the third time she has been named to the CSC Academic All-District Team.
Braun earned all-GPAC honors three times in track & field this year and claimed All-America honors twice. She maintains a 3.56 grade point average while studying kinesiology.
Crow earned all-GPAC honors three times in track & field this year and claimed All-America honors twice. During the cross country season, she finished fourth at the GPAC Championship and placed 24th at the NAIA National Championship to earn All-America honors. She is studying accounting and has a 3.90 grade point average.
Travis was a six-time all-GPAC performer in the throws this season and also earned All-America honors once. She is a biology major with a 3.97 grade point average.
Den Herder earned both all-GPAC and All-America honors in 2025-26. She graduated with 10 all-GPAC honors and two All-America honors. She earned her degree in education in May with a 3.84 grade point average.
Walhof won two GPAC titles in the throws this season and earned All-America honors three times. This is her second CSC Academic All-District selection, and she has a 3.88 grade point average while studying engineering.
To be eligible for Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must have attended their institution for at least one year, maintain at least a 3.5 grade point average, and finish among the top 25 in their conference championship competition. Academic All-District selections now advance to the national ballot, where College Sports Communicators members vote on the Academic All-America teams. First-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced July 14 and 15.
