The Dordt University women's soccer team tied Dakota State (S.D.) 1-1 in a match played tonight on Dan Beacom Field in Madison, S.D.
The Defenders are now 1-2-2 this season as they head into their conference opener against Concordia this weekend. Dakota State is now 0-6-1.
Dordt went ahead 1-0 in the opening minutes with a goal scored by
Jenna Roberts off an assist from
Lameese Batarseh. The Defenders outshot Dakota State 7-1 in the opening half but had just a one goal advantage.
With the Defenders still leading 1-0, Dakota State netted the equalizer during the 72nd minute on a goal by Aislyn Holden, her second of the season.
