The NAIA has released its list of Scholar-Teams for the 2025-26 school year, and the Dordt Defenders had 21 varsity programs achieve at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average.

The Defender football team ranked first in the NAIA with a 3.50 team GPA, the second season in a row the Defenders have had that distinction and was one of 13 Dordt teams to place in the top-20 of their respective sports. Ten of those teams finished in the top-10 and the women's cross country team posted a 3.84 GPA, the highest among Dordt's programs.

To qualify as an NAIA Scholar-Team, a varsity program must hold a minimum GPA of 3.0, with grades from both semesters included in the calculation.

All of Dordt's varsity teams earned Scholar-Team distinction, and Defender athletes combined for a cumulative GPA of 3.56 during the 2025-26 academic year, matching the previous year's best-ever mark.
