The Dordt Defender women's golf team stands third after day one of the Siouxland Invite played at Landsmeer Golf Club in Orange City, Iowa on Tuesday, September 8. Dordt shot a 321 and is four shots behind the leader Park (Missouri) with 18 holes to play.

Dordt is one shot in front of Morningside and three behind Doane, the second place team.
The Defenders  posted four scores of 83 or better and
Olivia Meyering led the Defenders with a five-over-par 77 and is tied for sixth place. Meyering carded a 37 on the front nine and completed her round with a 40.
Avery Bunkers finished three strokes behind Meyering with an 80 and is tied for 12th. Bunkers recorded a 39 on the opening nine and a 41 on the back.
Chloe Attema is tied for 17th after shooting an 81. Attema improved by one stroke on the back nine, following a 41 with a 40.
Laney Franken added an 83 and is tied for 26th after rounds of 41 and 42 and she had three of Dordt's six birdies.
Ashlee Sweeter completed Dordt's lineup with an 88 and is tied for 46th. Sweeter rebounded from an opening-nine 48 to shoot a 40 over her final nine holes.
Dordt's four counting scores totaled 321.
