COACHING EXPERIENCE

Van Schepen has coached at several different levels over the course of her career.  She served as an assistant at Dordt one year before a five year-stint coaching varsity and junior varsity volleyball at Timothy Christian (Illinois). Most recently she’s been at Unity Christian in Orange City, Iowa where she was a varsity assistant for two years and five seasons as junior varsity coach.  She also served as a middle school coach at Orange City Christian School for two years. Van Schepen will be in her first season of this stint at Dordt University in 2022.

ATHLETIC EXPERIENCE

Part of three NAIA National Tournament qualifiers while competing for Dordt including a final four finish (2003).  Claimed three GPAC regular season titles and four GPAC tournament championships.   Earned GPAC honorable mention accolades twice, and first-team and second-team honors once each.  Was a two-time NAIA Scholar-Athlete.
