The Dordt Defender volleyball team lost a 3-0 decision on the road to Midland on Saturday afternoon, October 15 in GPAC play.
Dordt trailed much of set one, but stayed within striking distance, cutting the difference to 18-16 late in the set. Back to back Midland points put them up 20-16 but an attack error ended the run.
Isabella Cumana and Ellie Foss combined on a block to get within 20-18 and Voss's kill pulled Dordt to within 20-19. Another three point run by the Warriors got them to 23-19 but Voss and
Brenna Krommendyk narrowed the difference to 23-21. Dordt made one more run to within 24-23 on back to back errors by Midland but a kill by the Warriors ended the set for a 25-23 win.
Set two was tied 6-6 when Midland went on an 8-0 run to go ahead 14-6. Dordt rallied to within 18-15, but that's as close as the Defenders got before Midland won 25-17. Up 2-0, the Warriors rolled in set three for a 25-11 win.

Dordt will host Jamestown on Thursday, October 20 in a contest that was halted in September. That contest will be played at 7:00 and will begin tied 1-1.
