The Dordt University men's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision to unbeaten Concordia in a conference match played tonight in Seward, Neb.
The Defenders are now 0-2 in the conference, 3-4-1 overall; Concordia, now off to its best start in program history, improves to 2-0 in the GPAC, 8-0 overall.
Carter Hinman scored the game-winner from an assist by Jarrod Henson to put the Bulldogs up 1-0 just five minutes into the match. Concordia scored later in the half, during the 31st minute, when Victor Meneses touched a shot past Dordt goalkeeper
Mitchell Dryden for a 2-0 lead.
The teams played a scoreless second half; Dordt held the edge in shots on-goal (4-1) over the final 45 minutes and had its best scoring chance during the 86th minute but Concordia goalkeeper Nolan Fuelberth made a great save on a shot by
Blake Hansen.
