A pair of early second-half goals gave the Dordt University men's soccer team a 2-0 win against Dakota Wesleyan in a conference match played tonight in Mitchell, S.D.Â

The Defenders earned their second straight win and evened their record to 2-2 in the GPAC, 5-4-1 overall. Dakota Wesleyan is now 0-2-1 in the GPAC, 4-3-1 overall.Â
Scoreless after a back-and-forth, fast-paced first half that featured a combined 13 shots (8 on goal), Dordt netted a pair of goals in the opening seven minutes of the second half to get the win.Â
The Defenders first goal was scored by
Blake Hansen on a head from a corner kick by
Alberto Jimenez during the 49th minute. The goal was Hansen's fourth of the season and the Defenders third goal scored off a corner kick in the last two matches. Less than three minutes later,
Javier Moscardo put his team up 2-0 when he received a pass in front of the goal from
Blake Hansen and touched it by the DWU goalkeeper.Â
