(Monday, January 15; Sioux Center, Iowa) Jazlyn Rennison, a senior at Willard High School (Missouri), has announced her intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender softball program.
Rennison has a career .332 batting average with 97 hits and 56 runs batted in. She was a first-team all-district and second-team all-region selection after her senior season and earned second-team all-COC accolades. Rennison was an academic all-state selection in all four of her seasons.
"I chose Dordt because it has the specific degree I want and when I came on my visit I felt extremely welcomed," said Rennison.
Jazlyn is the daughter of Tawana Frazier and Nicholas Rennison of Willard, Missouri. She plans to study actuarial science at Dordt.
Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) and the Mid-American Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA).
U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
