(Wednesday; October 15; Sioux Center, Iowa) The fifth NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Poll was released early this week and the Dordt Defenders have worked their way into the top-10 for the first time this season.

The Defenders were 59-7 winners over Waldorf on Saturday, Oct. 11, to improve to 5-0 this season. Montana Western absorbed its second loss of the year and fell from No. 8, opening a spot in the top 10. The top five teams remained unchanged, with Grand View holding at No. 1 and fellow GPAC member Morningside at No. 4.
Concordia fell out of the top 25 with an overtime loss to Midland and is receiving votes along with Northwestern, Mount Marty and Midland.
Dordt will host Mount Marty on Saturday, Oct. 18, and Midland on Oct. 25 after playing three of its first five games on the road.
