(Monday, October 27; Sioux Center, Iowa) The Dordt Defender men's basketball team appears in the
Receiving Votes category of the NAIA Preseason Coaches' Top 25 Poll released late last week ahead of the 2025–26 season.
The Defenders opened the year with a convincing win Friday night against William Woods (Missouri) and now prepare for a two-game road trip to Olathe, Kansas, where they will face Evangel and MidAmerica Nazarene on Thursday and Friday, October 30 and 31.
Dordt earned 90 points in the poll, just four points behind Keiser (Florida), which holds the No. 25 spot. The Defenders will play six straight games on the road before hosting Northwestern on November 19. Dordt begins GPAC conference play on Saturday, November 15, at Mount Marty.
The 2025–26 schedule features five contests against teams currently ranked in the Top 25: Northwestern (No. 8), Morningside (No. 19), and Friends (No. 24).
