Dordt split their two softball games on Friday, February 14 at the American State Bank Sports Complex in a pair of 3-2 decisions. The Defenders came from behind to defeat Dickinson State to start the day and dropped a 3-2 decision to Minnesota Crookston as they were unable to complete the comeback.

The Defenders allowed a run in the second and fourth to get down 2-0 but rallied with a run in the fourth and two the fifth to take their seventh win of the season on Friday afternoon.
Dordt's runs came in the fourth when
Annabelle Hensley singled to score
Chloe Kreuz who doubled with one out in the inning. Dordt then added two in the fifth
Brooke Rule doubling in two.

VS MINNESOTA CROOKSTON
An early run gave Minnesota Crookston the advantage and a late push by Dordt ultimately came up short in a 3-2 decision.
The Golden Eagles got the first inning run after a walk, stolen base and single and had runners at second and third with no one out before
Bailey Sample got a pair of strikeouts and a popout to finish the frame.
Neither team got much going on offense until the sixth inning when a
Brooke Rule single followed by a stolen base and error put her on third with one out.
Brooklynn Cox delivered a single that tied the game but a popout and strikeout limited the damage to one run. The Golden Eagles then scored a pair of runs on two hits in the bottom of the sixth inning.
Dordt's rally in the seventh started with an
Addison Stephenson-Roy single and
Taylor Horsham ran for her.
Lauren Steenstra doubled and after a ground out
Kyleigh Reiter grounded out to the second baseman to knock in one run and advance the runner to third. A popout followed to end the threat and the game.
Dordt is 7-4 and will play York and Valley City State at 3pm and 5pm on Saturday, February 15.
