GAME 2
Dordt played from behind most of the game and couldn't overcome the Mount Marty Lancers in game two of the doubleheader. The Lancers scored three in the first and two in the third for a 5-1 lead with
Brooke Rule's solo homerun in the top of the third accounting for Dordt's run.
Lauren Steenstra had a three-run homerun in the fifth inning to tie the game and Hensley's single in the fifth put Dordt up briefly 5-4. The home half of the fifth proved to be the decider as the Lancers scored five runs on six hits and took a 10-5 lead. Dordt countered with a pair runs on and error and a Rule sacrifice fly. Dordt stranded a runner in that inning and got a leadoff single by Kreuz in the seventh but the next three batters were retired without incident with Dordt dropping the 10-7 decision.
