(Tuesday, September 23; Sioux Center, Iowa) The NAIA has released its list of Scholar-Teams for the 2024-25 school year, and the Dordt Defenders had 21 varsity programs achieve at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average.

The Defender football team ranked first in the NAIA with a 3.53 team GPA and was one of 15 Dordt teams to place in the top 20 of their respective sports. Ten of those teams finished in the top 10. The women's cross country team posted a 3.86 GPA, the highest among Dordt's programs.

To qualify as an NAIA Scholar-Team, a varsity program must hold a minimum GPA of 3.0, with grades from both semesters included in the calculation.

All of Dordt's varsity teams earned Scholar-Team distinction, and Defender athletes combined for a cumulative GPA of 3.56 during the 2024-25 academic year.
