Dordt picked up a straight-set road win over Briar Cliff on Wednesday night in Sioux City, taking the match 25-21, 25-20, 25-21.

HOW IT HAPPENED
In the opening set, Dordt overcame an early 2–0 deficit with a five-point run that included a service ace from Laney Wolfswinkel and kills by Haley Kuperus and Ellie Dokter. The Defenders extended their margin to 17–7 during another scoring burst that featured kills from Tarren Spartz, Wolfswinkel, Ada Dekkers, and Dokter. Briar Cliff rallied late to close the gap, but Dordt sealed the set with kills from Dokter and Myra Carlson to take it 25–21.
Set two featured Dordt's most efficient offensive stretch of the night, as the Defenders hit .412 with 18 kills. After a 4–1 start with kills from Ada Dekkers and Dokter, Briar Cliff fought back to even the score at 13–13. Dordt responded with five unanswered points, highlighted by consecutive Dokter kills and a service ace from Chloe Huisman, and never trailed again in a 25–20 win.
The third set was tightly contested with nine ties and three lead changes. Dordt built early momentum behind a block from Dekkers and Kuperus and later relied on key kills from Dokter, Dekkers, and Wolfswinkel to stay in front. Briar Cliff kept the score close, but Dordt pulled away late, with Dokter providing multiple late kills before a final setup from Kylie Beckering allowed Chloe Huisman to finish off the 25–21 set and the 3–0 match sweep.
