Dordt pushed nationally-ranked Concordia in all three sets but came up short in a 3-0 road loss on Saturday afternoon at Friedrich Arena. The Bulldogs edged the Defenders 25-20, 25-23, 25-23 in a match that featured long strings of points and several lead changes.

In set one, Dordt used a 7-0 surge that included two kills from
Tarren Spartz and an ace by
Chloe Huisman to take a 12-6 lead. Concordia responded with a run of its own, scoring seven of the next eight points to pull even at 13-13. The Bulldogs closed strong, turning a slim 18-17 margin into a 25-20 win.
Set two saw Dordt rally from an early 5-0 deficit. The Defenders pieced together a 7-1 run behind kills from
Payton Doenhoefer and
Ellie Dokter to grab a 17-14 lead. Concordia clawed back with four straight points to regain control, and although Dordt pulled within one at 24-23, the Bulldogs sealed the set on an Ava Greene kill.
The third set was a back-and-forth battle that featured 10 ties and four lead changes. Dordt led 21-20 after kills from
Haley Kuperus and
Payton Doenhoefer, but Concordia responded with three straight points and held on for a 25-23 victory to complete the sweep.
