(Thursday, January 22; Sioux Center, Iowa) The Great Plains Athletic Conference has announced the women's basketball players of the week for games played January 13-19 and Dordt's Gracie Schoonhoven (Junior; Hospers, Iowa) has earned the honor.

Schoonhoven scored 26.5 points per game and secured 8.5 rebounds per outing with three steals in two wins over Morningside and Doane.   Schoonhoven was 19-25 from the field and converted 13-16 free throws as Dordt turned away the Mustangs 74-61 and Doane 97-38. Dordt improved to 18-1 overall and 12-1 in the conference with the wins.

Schoonhoven is averaging 22.6 points per game this season with 7.0 rebounds and 1.8 assists and 2.4 steals.  She is also making 64.2 percent of her field goals. Dordt will travel to Concordia on Saturday, January 24 and Northwestern on Wednesday, January 28.
