Dordt ended the season at the GPAC Tournament in Fremont, Nebraska with a loss to Morningside. Dordt made it into the championship game of the four-team Fremont bracket with wins over Hastings and Midland that dropped them into elimination games but Dordt lost to the Mustangs 7-0.

THE SERIES
Dordt trails the series 9-8 with Dordt winning the last seven meetings. Dordt won a February 8 meeting in Sioux Center last year by a 9-4 count. Dordt scored five in the third inning after Peru State had cut the lead to 3-2. Peru State did score two more in the third but the Defenders held on to win with a 13-10 hits advantage.
