Dordt opened the day in a slugfest that saw the two teams combine for 25 hits. The Defenders jumped out to a commanding 6-0 lead by the third inning, highlighted by a two-run home run from
Chloe Kreuz and an RBI double from
Annabelle Hensley. However, Doane surged back with 13 runs over the final five frames.
Trailing 8-6 in the seventh,
Aubrey DeShaw launched a dramatic three-run home run to briefly give Dordt a 10-8 lead. The advantage was short-lived, as the Tigers responded with five runs in the bottom half of the inning, including a walk-off three-run home run, to steal the victory.

The Defenders left no doubt in the nightcap, exploding for 17 runs on 18 hits to secure a dominant five-inning victory. Dordt scored in every inning, starting with a three-run first fueled by a
Lauren Steenstra two-run double.
The offense reached its peak in the fourth inning, where the Defenders hung seven runs on the board. Steenstra cleared the bases with a three-run double, while
Ashtyn Grissom added a two-run blast.
