Softball | Defenders Take Vote In NAIA Poll

(Friday, March 6; Sioux Center, Iowa) The Dordt Defender softball team is receiving votes in the most recent NAIA Coaches' Top-25 Poll released earlier this week.

The Defenders are 18-5 and are currently on their Spring Break trip.  Three of Dordt's losses are by one run and they took 71 points in the voting. Dordt will face Warner on Saturday before concluding the Florida trip on Monday, March 9 against Bismarck State and Madonna (no. 14).  Dordt opens GPAC play on Wednesday, March 18 at home against Waldorf and are scheduled to host Mount Marty on Saturday, March 21.

Fellow GPAC members Northwestern (no. 17) and Midland (no. 19) are also in the poll and Southern Oregon is the no. 1 team in the poll with 11 first place votes and 499 total points,.
