COACH JACKI SMITH SAID
"The College of Saint Mary was blistering in the match…they hit .440 in the second set and we didn't have an answer for them across the board. This is a serve and pass game and we didn't accomplish what we needed to from the service line. We knew we had to serve aggressively—we had two service aces and four errors and the College of Saint Mary did and had seven aces and six errors. Those seven aces are impactful points in a match like this. We had the momentum in set one and they made some adjustments—we were keyed in on their outsides and single blocking their middles and they started to pumping their middles and that was a momentum shift for them."
