The Dordt Defender volleyball team lost a 3-0 decision to Jamestown on Wednesday night, October 26 in GPAC play.
Dordt trailed 10-5 early in set one but the Defenders were able to rally to within 14-13 after a block by
Brenna Krommendyk. The two teams traded points to 15-14 after an
Alli Timmermans kill but an Anna Holen kill started a five point run for a 20-14 Jamestown lead that led to an eventual 25-15 win.
Set two was tied 9-9 but the hosts scored three unanswered for a 12-9 advantage. The difference was 13-11 for Jamestown before
Brenna Krommendyk had a kill followed by two from
Ellie Voss for a 14-13 Dordt lead. The set was tied at 16-16 as well but three points in a row by the Jimmies put them up 19-16 and they went on to win 25-19.
The Defenders raced out to a 7-2 lead in set three but Jamestown had an answer, cutting into the difference and eventually leading 14-11. A service error followed by a set error and attack error tied the set at 14-14 but Dordt was unable to regain the lead before falling 25-21 in set three. Dordt had the difference down to 23-21 late but an attack error put Jamestown at match point.

- Jamestown had a 43-23 kills advantage and recorded five ace serves while Dordt had three.
- Dordt had a 6-5 points off of blocks advantage.
- Brenna Krommendyk had eight kills to lead the Defenders and Ellie Voss had seven kills.
- Megan Raszler accounted for 13 assists and Makenna Kooima had 12 digs.
- Dordt is now 13-9 overall and 7-7 in the GPAC.Â
- Jamestown is 26-2 overall and 13-1 in conference play.
