RECENTLY

The Defenders went 4-0 on February 24 and 25 at the ASB Sports Complex with wins over Waldorf (8-2), Avila (2-0), Bellevue (5-1), Dakota State (7-4).

Bellevue played three games in Sioux Center on February 24 and 25 and was on the short end of games with Northwestern (6-0), Morningside (4-0) and Dordt (5-1).  Bellevue began play on March 5 in Florida and the Bruins will be there through March 10.

Judson opened its season on March 3 and 4 in Florida with games against Mount Vernon Nazarene and the Eagles will be in Florida through March 10.

THE SERIES

Dordt and Bellevue have played five times since 2018 and Dordt leads the series 4-1 and Dordt won the February 25, 2023 meeting 5-1. Ivy Terpstra had two hits and two runs scored and Hailey Wilken was the winning pitcher while scattering four hits and striking out two. Dordt outhit Bellevue 7-4.
Dordt and Judson played last season with the Dordt getting a 9-1 win and the teams played to a scoreless tie on March 8 in Florida that was weathered out. Hailey Wilken got no decision with six hits allowed.

Dordt will face Warner on March 8 in Lake Wales, Florida in a pair of games hosted by Warner.
