RECENTLY

Dordt was a 1-0 winner over Northwestern on Tuesday night and lost 6-2 in the second game. Dordt scored a run in the sixth inning as Ella Koster doubled in Chandler Schemper. Abby Kraemer struck out three and limited Northwestern to five hits. The second game went to Northwestern as the Raiders scored three in the fifth and another in the sixth to pull away from a 2-2 tie. Koster and Brooklynn Cox each had two hits in the loss.

Morningside played Mount Marty on Friday, April 14 and lost a 2-1 decision and was victorious in the first game 6-1. Buffington was the winning pitcher in the 6-1 victory and she struck out five. Cropley had two hits in the win. In the 2-1 loss the Mustangs gave up two unearned runs in the first two innings. Morgan Nixon had the only multi-hit game for the Mustangs with a triple and single.

THE SERIES

Morningside has a 9-1 advantage in the series since 2018 and won last year's games 5-1 and 3-1.
