RECENTLY

Dordt split their doubleheader with Jamestown in Aberdeen, South Dakota on Thursday, April 27 by taking game one 5-2 and dropping game two 6-1. Abby Kraemer didn't allow an earned run in the win, struck out 10 batters, and allowed five hits. Aurora Tyson had two singles and had a stolen base and Ella Koster scored two runs and had a single and two stolen bases. In game two Dordt tied it with Tyson singling in Koster but Jamestown scored two in the third and two more in the fourth. Alexa Kopaska pitched six innings and struck out six. The loss stopped a five game winning streak for the Defenders.

Concordia split with the College of Saint Mary on Tuesday, April 25 by losing game one 10-2 and winning game two 4-2. Rowe was the winning pitcher in four innings and allowed five hits with two runs and she struck out three. Concordia had a 9-8 hits edge in the win.

THE SERIES

Dordt trails the series with Jamestown 7-6 since 2018. Dordt has won the last three games in the series with a sweep on April 20 and a 3-1 win in GPAC Tournament play on May 4 in Fremont, Nebraska.

NEXT

Dordt will advance to the GPAC Post Season Tournament on Wednesday and Thursday, May 3 and 4 when two, four-team double-elimination brackets will be played at the two highest seeds.  Northwestern has secured one of the host sites by clinching the regular season title.  Dordt, Morningside, Midland and Briar Cliff were in contention for second place when play on Thursday, April 27 concluded. The winner of each double-elimination bracket will play in a best of three-series at the highest remaining seed on Saturday, May 6.
