RECENTLY

Mount Marty split its two games with Dakota Wesleyan on April 2 with a 5-3 loss and an 8-5 win. The win came when  Gray worked six innings and gave up four earned runs with six strikeouts and she walked two. Bailey Kortan was 2-4 with a run batted in and Kayleen Jacinto had two runs batted in with two hits.  All totaled, the Lancers had 15 hits in the eight run outburst.

The Defenders have won 11 out of their last 12 games and have won six games in a row. Dordt secured a sweep over Dakota Wesleyan on March 25 in its most recent play. The Defenders claimed game one with no incident and then won game two 8-7 when Emma Groen scored on a single by Aurora Tyson with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning. Abby Kraemer was the winning pitcher in both games.

THE SERIES

The two teams played on April 12, 2022 in their most recent action and Mount Marty was a 7-6 winner in the nightcap after winning game one 3-1. Mount Marty leads the series 8-1 since the 2018 season.
