The Defenders controlled the first set and led 11-5 after a three-point run and stretched the lead to 17-9 with a four-point run that included kills by Ellie Dokter, Myra Carlson and Sara Holleman. The Lancers were never able to make the set close and the Defenders were 25-15 winners.

Set two was a tight affair with 13 ties up to 20-20. The Lancers kept the momentum rolling with a 10-7 lead after a four point run but a service error ended the streak. After a Mount Marty kill pushed the difference back to 11-8, Dordt went on to chip away at the difference and took the lead at 16-15 on a Myra Carlson block. Mount Marty never led again in the set and Dordt went on to win 25-20 with kills by Ellie Dokter and Tarren Spartz and a block by Haley Kuperus for Dordt's final three points.

A seven-point run by Dordt early in set four swung the score from an 8-4 deficit to an 11-8 advantage and the Defenders held on for the 25-21 win after Mount Marty had the lead down to 22-21.  Dordt's final two points were recorded off kills by Myra Carlson.
