The Flames pulled away from a 5-5 tie in set one and built a double digit lead 19-9 and went on to win 25-15 with five points coming from blocks.  Dordt reversed the decision in set two when it scored five points in a row to turn an 8-7 deficit into a 12-8 advantage. Three of the points were by unforced attack errors on the Flames and Ellie Dokter recorded an ace serve in the sequence.

Dordt maintained the lead for a 25-18 final, scoring the final two points on an Dokter kill and a Tarren Spartz and Haley Kuperus block.  The Flames roared to a 6-1 lead in set three but Dordt rallied to tie the set at 10-10 with a block and eight ties ensued to 22-22. The Flames scored two in a row to take control and after a Kelly McArthur kill for Dordt the Flames won it on a kill for a 25-23 decision.
