Crow Leads Distance Crew at Kip Janvrin Open

The Dordt University women's track and field team sent a small number of its distance crew to compete at the Kip Janvrin Open on Friday night at Buxton Stadium in Indianola, Iowa.  Notes:
  • Addy Crow headlines the list of Defender finishers as the sophomore qualified for nationals with her time in the steeplechase
    • Crow finished fifth out of 38 runners with a 'B' standard and season-best time of 11:10
    • the sophomore improves her standing in the current GPAC performance list to second and now ranks seventh in the NAIA
    • Crow ran a 10-second season-best time
  • Macy Marshall joined Crow in the top 10, placing eighth overall, with a personal-best time of 11:19
    • Marshall's time just missed the 'B' standard by .04 of a second and ranks third in the GPAC
    • the freshman's time was a 31-second personal best
  • Jada Koerner placed 12th (11:27) and ran an 11-second personal best
  • Elyse Zwart placed 27th (12:21)
  • two Defenders, Jessica Opfer and Isabella Webb, competed and finished in the 5000m
    • Opfer was the top Defenders finisher (36th) with an outdoor personal-best time of 18:09
    • Opfer's time was a 24-second personal best and ranks fourth in the GPAC
    • Webb placed 41st (18:20)
