The Dordt University men's golf team will travel to Whispering Creek Golf Course in Sioux City, Iowa to compete in a two-day Mustang Derby hosted by Morningside. The event will be a 36-hole event.

Last Time At Whispering Creek
The Defender men's golf team posted a 325 on day two of the Mustang Derby at Whispering Creek in Sioux City, Iowa. Dordt went 310-325=635 and finished 13
th in the event.

Dordt's
David Chacon shot a 77-79=156 and finished tied for 34
th and
Caden Koole went 75-82=157 and tied for 39
th.
Caleb Douma was a stroke behind with a 78-80=158 to tie for 42
nd.
Morningside won the event by three strokes over Jamestown with a 291-304=595 and the Jimmies were led by Max Noffsinger with a 71-73=144 that was good to win medalist honors in the 66 golfer field.
Dordt will play in an event hosted by Hastings in Windsor, Colorado on October 14-15.
THE ROUND
Caleb Douma shot a 71 on day two for a 73-71=144 and even par for a second place tie.
Trey Van Groningen went 74-75=149 for a 10
th place tie and Sam Wolfe finished in a tie for 13
th with a 72-79=151. Douma and Van Groningen both had four birdies in their Tuesday rounds.
Morningside won the team title with a 288-289=577 and the Defenders overcame Mount Marty for the runner-up spot with a 300-298=598 and Mount Marty shot a 297-303=600.
Dordt's next outing is on Monday and Tuesday, October 6-7 at the Mustang Derby.
