(Thursday, November 13; Sioux Center, Iowa) The first regular season NAIA Women's Basketball Coaches' Top 25 poll has been announced and the Dordt Defenders are the no. 1 team in the poll.
Dordt is 4-0 after a win over no. 5 Dakota State on Tuesday night at the Pentagon in Sioux Falls. Dordt is scheduled to face Mount Mart on Saturday, November 15 before hosting a pair of games the following week against Northwestern and Hastings.  Dordt took all 20 first-place votes and is 20 points in front of Bethel (Tennessee) in the poll.
The Great Plains Athletic Conference is well-represented with Briar Cliff (no. 9), Concordia (no. 11), Dakota Wesleyan (no. 16), Hastings (no. 25), and Morningside (RV) all in the voting.
